We deliver essential CPD and practical workshops to support the varied needs of professionals working in pressured settings such as counselling, social work, advice centres, community services, solicitors, schools, NHS etc.

Delivered from the training room at both our Birmingham and Wolverhampton Centres, one day workshops cost £70 and half day workshops £35, this includes all materials, handouts, a certificate of  attendance and, for one day workshops, a sandwich lunch. Book by July 1st and receive an automatic 10% discount. Attend each day for £70 or book 2 workshops for £130 or 3 for £180 (refreshments included plus lunch for full day workshops)

In an era of heightened coverage of abuse trials in the media, this workshop equips professionals to respond sensitively to adults who disclose historic sexual abuse

Working with Young People who Self Harm
Practitioners will be encouraged to think about how they might assess the seriousness of harm and offer alternatives for dealing with the issues young people face

Tuesday 17th February 2015, 10am – 4pm
Introduction to Counselling Skills
A course to enable individuals to learn basic but essential skills for listening to and helping adults, includes theory and practice

Friday 6th March 2015, 10am – 4pm
Working with Emotional Clients
For front line staff to explore and equip them with the skills and awareness to deal with highly charged people and situations

Trainers
All our courses are delivered by highly experienced Relate trainers who are carefully selected for their expertise in communication skills and their understanding of group dynamics. They have all achieved at least one of the recognised training credentials such as PTLLS. Our trainers create an environment where they encourage and enable learners to participate in discussions and practical activities. We pay particular attention to learning outcomes and endeavour to ensure that our delegates leave us with the relevant training needs fulfilled.
